A spot that is probably well known to any local climbers, this wall holds a number of Farley’s most classic (and least classic) boulders. As I was hiking past towards the Pipe Dreams area, I saw the light coming through the fall foliage, rimming the rocks and trees, and casting long shadows on the Chronic wall. I took a phone photo, and was able to paint this one later from my studio. As seems to be the case with my favorite paintings, it felt easy, simple from start to finish.
